When
a loved one passes away we choose a memorial for many reasons.
To express our affection for that person, to preserve a memory
for generations to come. A heartfelt and meaningful memorial
reflects the spirit of the life it commemorates. Whether it
is your own life or the life of a loved one.
Personalizing a memorial
can be done simply and by you, with our assistance. We will
gladly assist you in designing and creating the memory of
your choice.
First
step: decide
what you would like to depict on your memorial.
This is the most important decision of
the whole process. Finding the right subject for your memorial
requires you to know what would best represent the memory
of your loved one, or what would best show your love for
him/her.
Whether
it is scenery, a favorite car, motorcycle, truck or boat,
or whatever, it may be designed alone or incorporated into
a scene of your choice. A favorite hobby, insignia or a
past time such as gardening, reading or ceramics. A music
instrument. A guardian angel to protect and guide your loved
one. It could be a male angel, a female angel, a small child
or even an angel that resembles your loved one.
If you are like many of us and cannot
visit the cemetery often to place flowers, a nice bouquet
of your favorite flowers could be carved into the stone
and it will be there for eternity. The ideas are really
limitless.
Deciding the perfect subject can be difficult,
but with our help you won't need to imagine every detail
of the whole design. Just a short description will be sufficient
to our designers and your design will become the artwork
that will show your love to generations from now.
Second step: etching or blasting?
Decide
if you would rather have the design blasted into the stone
or etched on it. Etchings and blastings give quite different
artistic results, and both are beautiful. Laser or hand
etchings can render very detailed designs, while the simpler
lines of blastings are better suited for colored stones.
Here is an example:

As you can see, any design can be made
for etching with the opportune changes can also be made
for blasting. If you want a help to decide, visit our artworks
gallery where you will find a good selection of designs
for etching and blasting we rendered in the past for many
satisfied customers.
Third
step: contact
us.
Phone, fax or email us these specifications.
After discussing what you would like to depict on your memorial,
we will be glad to assist you and offer our advice in regard
to choosing the right monument. We can also offer a suggestion
as to the type of stone that would best show your design,
as well as offer to you some very excellent monument dealers
in your area.
We will draw a rough of your design and
will either fax or mail it to you for your approval. When
approved we will draw up the full size drawing, which will
be the actual size of the stone you desire.
With that rendering you still have a one time opportunity
of making any changes needed to the original design at no
additional charge.
You then will
take your design to the dealer of your choice and they will
take it from there. With a design in hand you may very possibly
request a discount from that company.
